🌲 Surviving the Holidays When Your Husband Is in Midlife Crisis
The truth about this season… and the workshops that will help you breathe again.
The holidays hit differently when your husband is in midlife crisis.
Everyone else seems to be clinking glasses, posting matching pajama photos, and talking about magic and joy… and meanwhile you’re over here trying to keep it together, wondering where he is or trying to not think about who he might be texting while you’re decorating the tree.
It’s a season that used to feel warm and nostalgic - but this year it feels tender, complicated, and honestly… heavy.
And I want you to know something:
You’re not crazy for feeling that way. You’re human. And you’re not alone. ❤️
This time of year pokes the bruise.
It magnifies what’s missing.
It stirs up memories of who he used to be, what your family used to look like, and the holiday traditions that once made you feel connected.
And while everyone else seems to expect you to “keep it merry,” you’re just trying to make it through dinner without crying.
I get it - truly.
I’ve lived the holidays where I held my breath until January.
I’ve had the Christmas where I hid in the upstairs bathroom so no one would see me fall apart while everyone was downstairs or out on the lanai having a blast talking, catching up and reminiscing about the “old” times.
I’ve had the season where every ornament felt like a reminder of the life that was slipping through my fingers. (And it didn’t help we got married in December so we had a ton of “wedding” ornaments).
I’ve also had a holiday season where I spent Christmas, our anniversary and New Year’s all alone because I just didn’t want to be around anyone.
And because I never want you to feel the way I did - lost, alone, and left to figure it out by yourself - I created a whole series of holiday workshops just for you, the standing spouse.
These aren’t fluffy “be grateful!” holiday pep talks.
These are grounded, practical, real-life tools.
The kind that help you get through the places that make you want to collapse on the floor.
The kind that help you stay centered even when he’s unpredictable.
The kind that bring relief when your mind is spinning and your heart hurts.
And the best part?
You don’t have to do any of this alone anymore.
Below is the full lineup of workshops. Every single one is designed to make this season feel a little lighter, a little steadier, and a whole lot more survivable.
🎥 Upcoming Holiday Workshops
Every workshop is just $37 — intentionally priced so you can get real support without adding more stress to an already heavy season. If you click on the link, you will learn more about the event. (Links will be added to remaining workshops as we get closer to the event.)
Here’s how the workshops go: “We” (me, Grace, Jenn and Erin) present the workshop, then we do a deep dive into all of your questions. Nothing is off limit. For some this is the best part - getting support - right on the spot from all 4 of us. There is a replay (for a limited time) so if you can’t make it, no worries, you can watch it later. You can even send me your questions ahead of time. Why not give yourself the gift of support this season?
